MATERNITY SESSION FAQs
Maternity photos usually take place between 28-36 weeks. This time frame usually puts the belly almost at its biggest which gives us a lot of baby bump to work with. Please feel free to contact me before then and we will schedule the session around this time during you pregnancy. This is definitely a time where bigger is better.
Yes, we have several gowns for you to choose from and are constantly adding more.
Absolutely not, how much belly or skin you show is personal decision that I leave totally up to you.
Of course, significant others and children are welcome to join in on the session.
Early morning (7:00am-9:00am) or late afternoon about 2 and a half hours before sunset is the optimal time to photograph. The lighting at these times is usually the best depending on whether there is overcast. Midday sessions are an option but if the sun is extremely bright a location with several shaded areas would be best. If you are looking for somewhere open, like a field, then sunset or sunrise is highly recommended. We are always open to suggest locations for the best possible lighting.
If we are the right fit for you please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone 919.995.5515, so we can discuss your session. Email is always the best way to contact me. Once a date is agreed upon the online portrait photography contract and model release will be emailed to you to fill out and pay the non-refundable retainer fee. Each session requires a $150 non-refundable retainer fee to book your date. The remaining balance is due 14 days prior to the session date. Once a date and time is agreed upon, the non-refundable retainer fee, signed contract and model release is due within 36 hours.
